Decide My Next Writing Goals

March 31, 2016 By Mary Hill 10 Comments

I have decided to Follow Jesus

March wraps up after passing in a blur. I enjoyed just writing on topics that came to mind. As the month ends, I must decide my next writing goals.

Writing challenges me daily. I want to keep content new and fresh. How do I accomplish this and attract readers and keep them returning. We all have goals and missions for our blogs and writing. How do I decide what to write about?

I am moving forward toward writing creatively about my faith and life as a mom and wife in a small town. I want to share honestly the challenges I face and how I overcome setbacks, worries, and  fears.

Job 22:28

You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.

My focus becomes this prayer of decision and decreeing daily goals for writing and sharing my heart. God will guide my writing, and He will help me decide each day what I should write.

Writing motivates, inspires, and uplifts when story or essay creates a symphony of possibilities.  As a writer, I want to create these type of essays and stories. I can write them, but how do I attract readers to them? I enjoy joining blog hops, link up parties, and Facebook groups.

How do you grow your blog and attract new readers? What are your most successful tactics?  What decisions are your facing as the new month begins? Please share below in the comments.

I think it’s important to listen to God and your heart! The important thing is to keep writing daily…my big take away!

I love this! I am not a ‘grown up blogger’ and I rarely schedule things out or pre-write ideas (other than for 31days in October!) I am more of a by the seat of my pants blogger and I tend to try to keep a loose schedule, but just write about what He’s teaching me or what I know. Still… I am always considering ‘growing up’ and planning it out a bit more! I see blessing and value in both approaches! Praying for you as you decide!

How nice that you were able to write two posts in one :). I’m with you on the trying to decide what to write all the time. I need to get more organized (that’s part of my Life Plan for this year).

It really can be hard to decide on what to write on next. I have a hard time deciding at times too. Always enjoy your writing.
