LMMLinkup: Facing Challenges

September 10, 2018 By Mary Hill 29 Comments

Life challenges seem to hit you in the face with force sometimes. This week is full of them, but God is so faithful.

My mother underwent brain surgery last Wednesday; she came through wonderfully. She may have pain and nausea, but her outlook so inspired me.  She had so much faith going in. She knew her God had her in His arms.

We faced another major challenge too this weekend: a  near-tragic event involving our 11-month-old granddaughter. She is in Intensive Care in the same hospital that my mom was in for her surgery. She is facing surgery Monday morning.

My husband has surgery on Friday too on his neck.

I know I may face moments of feeling overwhelmed by all these challenges, but my mom’s faith inspires me. I know He has my family in His hands. He will see us through all trials and tribulations.

Please pray for my family this week. I don’t know what challenges or storms you are facing, but know God has you in His Hands.

Now on to our weekly linkup. First, please follow me on your social media. I love to hear from you:

Praying peace, strength and God’s comfort over you and your entire family this week.. Praising God your mom came through surgery, thanking God for the wisdom of the doctors to help the precious little one and asking for God’s guidance as your husband undergoes surgery too.

Mary, praying for you and your family… Our Heavenly Father, we ask that You wrap Your Loving Arms around Mary and her family. Give them a continual awareness of Your Healing Presence and Your Peace. We come to You believing that All things are Possible with You. You alone are the Great Physician. You are Jehovah Jireh, the One who can meet these needs. You are Jehovah Rapha, Who heals all our diseases. By Your stripes we are healed. You are El Shaddai, Almighty God nothing is too difficult for You. We know You never make a mistake, that You do all things perfectly, and You are always on Time. As in all things, we ask that Your Will be done, In Jesus’ name we pray, amen

Hi Mary, I’m so sorry to hear about the week you have had. I will be praying for you and your family.

I can empathize with you as we too have faced great challenges this week including my husband who has been in the hospital since Thursday, and I myself am waiting for biopsy results. It’s interesting how blog posts that I wrote over a month ago, are playing out exactly with what I need to hear the week they are published. The Lord using His own inspiration to me to minister to me at the exact time I need it. Sort of a test to put into action what He has taught me.

Mary, I also wanted to mention that I was unable to add my link to today’s link-up. A pop up came up telling me that I had exceeded the limit of links.

Hoping you have better week this week.

Hi thanks trying to fix the issue now. I was at the doctor early this morning and unable to get online. My computer is glitching and I had to reinstall Office too. Uggg. But God will see us through all problems.

Wow! You and your family are facing some huge difficulties, Mary! I’m praying for all that you’ve mentioned and keep us posted on how your granddaughter and husband’s surgeries go.

I also had the same issue with the linkup that others are having. Don’t know what linkup’s problem is! Don’t you just hate technology glitches? Especially when there is so many other things to deal with in your life!

Oh my word! What a week! I can certainly understand feeling overwhelmed! I pray for good results from all the surgeries and treatments. I am so glad to hear of God’s grace manifested to you all through these things.

When I tried to add my link a couple of times, it said I had reached the maximum number of links that could be added – even though I hadn’t one in yet. I’ll try again later in case it is just a temporary glitch, but for now my link this week is about lessons from disappointment: https://barbarah.wordpress.com/2018/09/10/disappointment/
