Welcome back to the #LMMLinkup.
This week’s focus continues around goals and resolutions.
One of my goals for the New Year for my blog is to establish a regular schedule. To start, I am adding two days of regular posting. Thoughtful Thursday and Five Minute Friday.
This week’s Thoughtful Thursday centered around resolution resources for 2018. I shared 10 resources to help you think through your goals for the New Year. For Five Minute Friday, I wrote on the word simplicity. On Friday, January 6, I blogged on the word, motivate.
As the year progresses, I hope to add Book Review Tuesday. I started this Tuesday with a book review on Sacred Rest by Saundra Dalton-Smith, Md. On Wednesdays, I hope to resume my photography posts with poems for Almost Wordless Wednesday.
What are you goals for you blog? If you are restarting or new, I recommend developing a weekly blog schedule to start. Then working ahead to fulfill your schedule. You can “batch” posts. I am working today on several weeks’ of Thoughtful Thursdays.
Share your plans for blog in the comments below so that we support each other in prayer.
Also, I can’t wait to read your Literacy Musing Mondays posts this week.
A quick reminder, however, about the purpose of Literacy Musing Mondays. We welcome all posts related to learning, writing, literacy, and blogging. Also devotional posts and posts related to God’s Word are welcome. Please do not linkup posts for the simple purpose of selling things or sponsored posts that do relate to our theme. We don’t mind affiliate links in your posts, but we have seen posts just selling products not related to our theme. These posts will be deleted. Thanks everyone for your support in keeping our community focused on literacy and learning.

Achievable Goals

I liked this post because it speaks to simplicity. Instead of lofty resolutions for the New Year, Jennifer encourages us to keep our focus on achievable goals. Be sure to check out her post to discover her recommended goals.
Now, it is time to link up to the Literacy Musing Mondays hop!

Linkup Rules:
-
- Include a link back or the blog hop button linked to this hop on your posts.
- Link up the urls to your posts not to your blog.
- Please remember this is a family-friendly linkup. Although we believe in the right for adults to read whatever they want to read, we prefer to read wholesome posts that feature literature that edify and uplift families. We reserve the right to delete any posts that are not family friendly. We love all kinds of literature and genres including family-friendly inspirational romances, fantasy, or science fiction. We do not welcome any posts that feature excessive violence, sexual content, or any cursing. This rule also applies to book review posts that feature books that are not family-friendly. These posts will be deleted without notice to the blogger or explanation. While we believe in the right for all adults to read whatever they want, we feel our linkup is for family-friendly posts only. Thank you for understanding.
- Also please remember literacy-related posts only such as book reviews; posts related to learning; devotionals and/or posts about God’s word.
- We also want to be loving community by supporting one another. Please make a point to do this this week! Visit the two posts before yours and at least one other blogger’s post of your choice! I want to see lots of clicks on everyone’s posts. Remember it is also nice to follow them on their social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
- Follow your hosts and co-hosts on their social media.
- Tweet about the link up too.
Be sure to check out my Linkup Parties page for great blog hops that I join each week.
Good for you, coming up with a schedule! It’s something I need to do, too. Thank you for the inspiration!

Mary, I guess one of my goals, since I post every day, is to stay a little farther ahead. But it doesn’t always work out that way. I’m also trying to simplify some things. Thanks for hosting. Have a great week!

Thank you for sharing your blogging goals. It was helpful. I am still working on setting my spiritual goal, and then I will move to blogging goals. I wrote about spiritual goals last week, and I still don’t have mine quite ironed out. Yikes! Of course, it is all in God’s timing.

Halfway through January already, can you believe it?
Thanks for featuring my Achievable Goals post! Happy New Year!
My goals for my blog haven’t really changed since I started – to come alongside as a friend and share life, particularly things God is teaching me. I’ve fallen into more or less of a schedule now, when life cooperates. 🙂 I do still wrestle with how much time to spend with the blog and whether to cut back to pursue some other writing and am praying for God’s direction.

Barbara, I am right there with you. I am praying over the same issues. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks so much for the shout out, Mary! Always appreciate it! And so glad to have these resolution resources/posts to give us ideas for nailing our resolutions down. I will probably try to post twice a week instead of just posting once a week–something I’ve done a lot this past fall. But I also try to build in breaks from blogging, like at Christmas time and part of the summer. I really need that to refuel and refresh myself. Thanks for asking about our goals! It’s always nice to share.

Great timing for this focus on goals.
One of my targets to hit this year is to avoid letting my goals drive me. I’m intentionally making room for more people in my life this year.
Thanks, Mary, for all you do.
