Gratitude is my theme for this month. My plan was to write on my favorite book, but the incident in Texas silenced me for now. No words, just grief.
I am saddened and my soul is tired. I will write more later.
In the meantime, I will continue with this week’s linkup.
In other #LMMLinkup news, the winner of the book Angels on Assignment is Annette! Thanks for entering our giveaway which ended Tuesday, October 31! We will be in touch soon to get the information we need to send you the prize.

Last Week’s Top Clicked Post!
& My Favorite Post of the Week
Dr. Michelle’s words really resonated with me. I so identified with what she wrote because I suffer pain as well. I suffer from pain related to arthritis. Like Dr. Michelle, I also struggled with depression. My favorite quotes from the post:
“Some things are difficult to relate to unless you have been through them personally… Walking with another in their pain is a beautiful thing, and it brings beauty for our own ashes. It’s what allows Jesus to sympathize with our suffering..”
When we suffer through out pain, it is hard to see it as a blessing. God can use it, however, as a way to bring others to Him. She points out that although we may suffer from different types of pain, we can better serve and relate to those with the same ongoing battles.
Be sure to head over and read this post. Leave a comment on it as blessing to Dr. Michelle.

Thank you for hosting. My heart is sad too. I love that when we have no words the holy spirit speaks for us. Sometimes all I manage to utter is “Jesus.”

My heart, too, is saddened by the tragedy in Texas. 🙁 Praying with you, for the victims loved ones, as they grieve.

We too are heart broken about what happened to our neighbors to the south, it is unreal. I am sad, and angry; and this morning I saw photographs of the shooter when he was a teen and I wondered, did anyone reach out to him? Reading some things his former classmates said it was obvious he was troubled as a teen, did anyone try to help him?
There is no excuse for what he did; but on the other hand, we have to start reaching out to those teens that we think or know are troubled, I myself am guilty of watching them ride by on bikes or walk by, but it is past time we {I} stepped out of our comfort zones and spoke up to these troubled youths, young men, and helped them, maybe avoiding something like this happening again in the future.
Lifting all those up who were there, lost family and friends, and who are grieving may God comfort them and bless them. Thanks for the wonderful link up.
Let’s all pray for a better November!

Thank you so much Mary. My heart, too, is with those south of me who were affected by this tragedy. But just like I wrote in my post, I have to trust the truth of God’s word and know that somehow in His sovereignty He WILL use that pain for good, and in the meantime comfort the hurting as only He can.

It is heartbreaking, isn’t it! Our nation is in so much trouble morally, but I remind myself that God is still in control. We need to pray for His mercy and grace for us all and strength and healing for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Sutherland Springs.

I agree, it’s such a tragedy. Sometimes there are no words. Praying with you. Visiting from Glimpses.
I know. My heart aches for the community and the church.
Thank you, Mary, for your post today. Thankful that when we have no words, the Holy Spirit intercedes with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
Thank you for hosting the linkup today, Mary, even though your heart is heavy with the church shooting. Mine is too, and thank you for reminding me to pray for the survivors today.
