New Year goals by this time of the year become sidelined and forgotten.
I haven’t forgotten mine, but I am not achieving them either.
As we approach the fourth month, I ask myself how do I stay on track and not abandon my goals.
My main goals were to draw closer to God by reading my Bible and praying more, to lose weight, expand my social media presence and blog audience, and improve my writing skills. I need to also work on spending more time with my husband and family. These goals are important on all fronts to improve my spiritual walk, emotional and physical life, and to improve myself as a mother and wife.
I plan to revisit why each of these goals are important to me; prayerfully come up with a plan to reach them; and to ask friends for prayer and accountability.
What are some steps that you recommend when you get off track of meeting goals? I would love to hear your input. Do you have a blog post to help us learn how to set, manage, and keep goals. Be sure to link these up this week!
Now on to our linkup. First, let’s

Those pesky goals! LOL It is a good time to evaluate how we’re doing, isn’t it? When I realize I’m not doing what I set out to do, I often go back to the thing that helped motivate me in the first place, a passage a Scripture, a book I read on the subject, etc. I can’t read without underlining and highlighting. So I go back and review those things. Thanks for hosting and have a great week-end.

Thanks for hosting Mary – I am doing well in some areas of my goals and working to get re-focused in several other areas! I find that I do best when I focus on one thing at a time – have yet to get “balance” down! 🙂

Hi Mary, we tend to focus on the new year goals at the initial stage but as you rightly mentioned it’s 4th month in a few days and we should review these goals and how close we are to accomplishing them.
Thank you for giving courage to reflect on these.
Blessings to you

I was impacted by part of a quote I saw once that said something like the little choices we make every day have more impact than the resolutions we make Jan. 1. Finding some way to incorporate those resolutions or goals into everyday life and moment by moment choices is something I need to work on.
Thanks, Mary, for spotlighting Karen’s piece — I had missed it last week, and it certainly is very special. Also, I appreciate the encouragement to stay strong in my goals for 2017. Blessings to you!
