My Saturday passed quickly, filled with fun family times. Our grands and cousins all gathered at their aunt’s house to eat a great dinner and hunt Easter eggs. We celebrated love and fun.
The Disciples, however, passed their Saturday after Good Friday in fear and in hiding. They forgot Jesus’s prophecy of resurrection. They grieved his death, forgetting promises of His glory.
Then on Sunday morn, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb to find it empty. She ran to tell the disciples and Peter. Peter returned with her to the tomb to find it empty. Later, Christ appeared unto the disciples and showed his wounds to them.
His promises were fulfilled! He rose from the dead, arisen and alive! He dwelt with the disciples and continued to prepare them for His return to Heaven. He is there today with His father sitting on a throne waiting for the day that He can return to earth to collect His bride, the church, home to Heaven.
The Easter story is one of hope, love, and peace. I pray for all tonight that they find Christ and believe in the sacrifice He made for the world.
My prayer on this eve of Easter is for all to find the Truth, the Way, and the Light. I pray that no matter your religion that you will take tomorrow and open your minds and hearts to Jesus. Call on His name and ask Him to show you the truth.
It is quiet in my home tonight. I reflect on my love for Christ. He truly is the reason I am where I am today. His love has seen me through so many trials and circumstances. He will come to all who seek Him. He loves all.
