Welcome back to our great community. I am late posting this week because I just returned from a major trip with my husband to San Antonio. It was a great trip, and I had a wonderful time of renewal and love with my dear husband. We all need to get away at times; and I was blessed to go on this wonderful trip with him.
We learned so much on this trip about culture and history. We visited the Alamo and attended the annual Texas Folklife Festival 2018 seeing great cultural dancers such as the San Antonio Lion Dancers. We also viewed a spectacular light show at the San Antonio Main Plaza entitled, The Saga, which combined beautiful art work and song in a laser light show that detailed the 300 year history of the city.

We visited and learned the history of The Alamo.

The Saga, a light and art spectacular show, displayed on the San Fernando Cathedral, the oldest operating sanctuary in North America.

We saw this beautiful wading bird on the historic, San Antonio Riverwalk.

We watched the beautiful San Antonio Dancing Lions during the 47th Annual Texas Folklife Festival.

SUMMER READING RECOMMENDATIONS
I love a recommendation lists for reading. This post is full of great reads to check out.
My Favorite Post
Debbie really delivers a thought-provoking post about slowing down our pace of life as we begin summer. I hope you will check it out. I especially loved the tip involving reorganizing our priorities in life. We all have busy lives, but if we keep our real priorities front and center, we can live less frantic ones because we can choose only those activities that further our goals in life. Be sure to check out her great post.
