I am rejoining the Five Minute Friday crew. My blog acted up all December and most of January. I switched to SiteGround and so far, fingers crossed everything is finally running smooth again.
Tonight’s word is Control. You can learn more about Five Minute Friday here.
Trials and frustrations walk hand in hand for me lately, but I am blessed because I know God is in Control.
I know this fact, but do I live it out daily?
How to show that you know God is control:
- Praise Him no matter the circumstances whirling and storming in your life. (I know easier said than done.)
- Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Sing hymns and songs of beauty towards Him.
- Surrender your Will to God. A simple prayer: “God I belong to you. My life is yours. No matter what happens I trust that Your Will is at work in my life. Amen.”
- Know your final destination is assured. When we believe in Christ as our Savior and Lord, we can rely on the fact that no matter what happens; no matter the trials, the tribulations, or tears we shed: our final destination is Heaven to Live Eternally with Him.
What if God is not the Lord of my life? You can turn your life over to Him right now with this simple prayer: “Dear Lord, Please be the Lord of my Life. Please forgive me of my sins and draw me unto you so that I can live a life of love in Your Will and Under Your Control. Amen.”
I hope this blesses you today. Did you find something inspiring? What is your advice for turning control over to Him? Did you say the prayer? Please share in the comments below.

I love Twila! Haven’t listened to her in quite awhile. Thanks for sharing, Mary! Glad to see your blog is back up and running!
You welcome. Thanks for stopping by. 😉
Yes, He is in control. Sometimes it’s confusing and some times it’s comforting. But He is always in control.
I so agree. Thanks so much for stopping by and encouraging me.

Relinquishing all control to god somehow is not me, not that I am an atheist, I love god and prefer him as a friend and guide rather than the controller of all deed. I do believe that whatever happens to us is destined, though!
Relinquishing control is easy though when you know Him personally and feel His love on a daily. He cares so deeply for us and His will for our lives is perfect. thanks for stopping by.

It is a huge blessing to know God is in control. Otherwise the world would look really scary right about now. I’m also blessed to have God to be in control of my life too. I would just make a mess but God knows what he is doing. Thanks so much! Blessings upon blessings to you!
So happy to see you back. God is indeed in control. Great list of ways to show god is in control. I’m in the 11 spot this week.
I don’t know why I find it so hard to relinquish control to God. I know that I should but it is so hard. I will keep trying. Thank you for the simple prayers you offered. I struggle with all of this and it is good to find the simple things!!
Paula thank you. I will put you on my prayer list this week. I really appreciate your support.
