God is My Protector in The Waves of Life

July 1, 2016 By Mary Hill 8 Comments

He is my Protector in the Huge Waves of Life

8:18 Start

My God protects me in the waves of life.

My protector and comforter leads my heart into the right ways.

He protects me from taking wrong roads; from men and women with evil intents for my life.

I do not deserve my protector’s love. I don’t deserve the shield He provides in my life.

My death loomed so close many times in my life because I stubbornly took my own roads and made decisions without His loving guidance.

He waits for you to ask for his protecting hand so He can become your protector.

His ways are safe and loving. His ways uplift and moves you from evil roads and intentions of the enemy.

His ways enforce and ensure goodness, love, and peace in your life.

Open your heart to Him today. He wants to protect you from the lies and traps to which evil attempts to lure you.

He guarantees a life of joy, happiness, and peace that passeth all understanding.

No matter the storm, He anchors me.

8:23 STOP

The above is written for Kate Motaung‘s Five Minute Friday community where today’s prompt is “protect.”

How To Know He Protects Us

No matter how seasoned as Christian we are, we all battle periods where we doubt, fear, and even give in to our frustrations and fears.

We can know He protects us during our seasons of doubt and fear with mustard-seed faith.

First, we need to admit our unbelief just as the father in Mark 9:24 did when he sought healing for his son:

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

I cry this often. I admit my doubt. I doubt your protection Lord. I doubt you. Forgive me. Help me believe.

He waits for our honest prayers where we lay our fears and doubts at His feet.

Second, we need to believe He hear us and answers our prayers in ways that are best for us. He doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we want Him too. He sees a bigger picture. He knows more than we do.

Third, He uses the times of doubt to refine us and grow us. When we come out the other end, we are stronger and have more faith.

In this life there are many trials, tribulations, and hardships. Without God at the helm, we find ourselves at a loss for hope and peace that fills us and gives us something to live for. This blog is a place for me to share the hope God gives me despite the circumstances I face and to extend that hope and love to others. May it be an inspiration and blessing to your heart! In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

I love this. Reminds me of my grieving process where “I rode the waves to comfort” after my husband moved to Heaven. Thank you!
