#LMMLinkup: God Provides Community When We Agree

February 5, 2018 By Mary Hill 14 Comments

Sometimes encouraging two people or more people to agree on one thing seems like a great hurdle.

However, the Bible states that in Matthew 18: 19

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about

anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

This week, I stand on that promise by asking the #LMMLinkup network to pray with me in agreement that God will work in our community and to bless those that linkup together each week.

Our #LMMLinkup community exists because each of you come together and agree to join in each week. I hope you will join us this week!

We are undergoing changes, but I believe God is at work and will make this community even stronger as a result.

Will you agree with me?

I wrote the above for the Five Minute Friday community where this week’s word was Agree.

Now on to our weekly linkup. Grab a cup of coffee and notebook because you are going to find loads of inspiration from fellow bloggers.

Learning to Love the Unlovely

By Rachel Lee at Be Thee Inspired

We all have them- prickly, difficult, unlovely people. People who make it just plain hard to WANT to love. But as christians, we are called to love- because He first loved us. The good news is Jesus gives us a powerful instruction manual through His Word. Click here to uncover the truths found in this helpful guide! #inspiration #devotions #scripture #love #biblestudy

How do you love those that hurt you or those that repel you? Rachel Lee really delves into the realness of this calling in her post. I highly recommend it. It is a great read that you will want to revisit several times to get the most from it.

My Favorite Post of the Week

“When You Try Trusting God & Things Get Worse” January 28

By Donna Reidland

When You Try Trusting God & Things Get Worse - Our Exodus reading illustrates the importance of being willing to keep standing and trusting God when things get worse instead of better and can help us understand that we are in a spiritual battle. #trustingGod #spiritualwarfare #tests #trials #parenting

Donna writes:

“Have you ever felt that (this) way? You surrender your life to God

or you make a decision to turn and go God’s way in some area of life.

At first, it’s great. You know you’re doing the right thing …

but then things start to go wrong!”

I can’t say enough how much this post blessed me this week. I know I shared last week briefly about my struggles with illness, but I know God will see me through and Donna’s post really brought this message home to heart. If you do not read Donna’s blog at least once a week you are missing out on great blessings. Thank you Donna from the bottom of my heart.

Want to be the next to be featured! Just link up a post and if you are read the most, I  will feature you. Also please make sure you link back to our community so others will know about our link up and join in. I will try to make it worth your while to linkup by promoting your posts across my social media networks. I will also pin my most clicked and featured posts to our Pinterest Board each week!

Remember to grab your button if you have been featured:

Now, it is time to link up to the Literacy Musing Mondays hop!

Linkup Rules:

  1. Include a link back or the blog hop button linked to this hop on your posts.
  2. Link up the urls to your posts not to your blog.
  3. Please remember this is a family-friendly linkup. Although we believe in the right for adults to read whatever they want to read, we prefer to read wholesome posts that feature literature that edify and uplift families. We reserve the right to delete any posts that are not family friendly. We love all kinds of literature and genres including family-friendly inspirational romances, fantasy, or science fiction. We do not welcome any posts that feature excessive violence, sexual content, or any cursing. This rule also applies to book review posts that feature books that are not family-friendly. These posts will be deleted without notice to the blogger or explanation. While we believe in the right for all adults to read whatever they want, we feel our linkup is for family-friendly posts only. Thank you for understanding.
  4. We also want to be loving community by supporting one another. Please make a point to do this this week! Visit the two posts before yours and at least one other blogger’s post of your choice! I want to see lots of clicks on everyone’s posts. Remember it is also nice to follow them on their social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
  5. Follow your host on her social media : Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
  6. Tweet about the link up too.
Join the fun at #LMMLinkup this week! Share your family-friendly posts about all things literacy.

Thanks for the invite, Mary! Books by C.S. Johnson are by a Christian author. Next weekend I’ll be sharing 3 Christian Love Stories and a Linky in anticipation of Valentine’s Day. However, I don’t need Valentine’s Day to entice me to read love stories. I enjoy them any day of the year! If I remember, I’ll pop over on Monday and link them. Blessings, Tina
