Hurricanes wrecked havoc on both Texas and Florida this past month. I spent Sunday watching the news and praying for Florida, as Hurricane Irma spun her wrath on the state of Florida. Our schools are closed today in my county in South Carolina. We are under high wind warnings all day. Weather officials warn of tropical storm winds and potential for tornadoes.
With all the local news focused on this event, I compiled resources on hurricanes.

My home was in the direct path of Irma, but praise the Lord, we are all safe and sound with no damage to the house or car. We lost power, but it came back pretty quickly. Now we’re just waiting for the internet to be restored. (I’m using my phone’s hotspot as I type this.)

I have family in the Houston area, so it was a tense couple of days watching for updates. Thankfully they are all right. We’re supposed to get some wind and rain even here in TN from Irma.
