God has a plan for his creation even during difficult seasons. Animals thrive in winter because of His divine plans. He takes care of them. I have always wondered how rabbits and the smallest of animals can survive when it is freezing outside. He gives the fur to keep them warm and provides food for them to eat.
He also designed many of them to hibernate in the deepest of winter because of the scarcity of food and terrible conditions.
His plans are so wonderful for the animals in winter. It amazes me and builds my faith.
Find faith in that truth.

I live in the northeastern portion of North Dakota, and this winter we’re experiencing an unusually harsh wintry weather. We have a pair of Blue Jays who have made our farmstead their home for the winter. We had one stretch when a polar vortex came down and actual temp was -30 with wind chill -70. I wondered how the Blue Jays were surviving in this, or did they? A few days later, temps warmed back up to the zero mark and lo and behold, I saw them in the backyard pecking a the pile of bird seeds we left. I am continually amazed at nature’s hardiness and strength to survive even the harshest of conditions. God is so good. 🙂
He is an amazing God Mary! I love the macro & micro details of His creation.
Blessings,
Jennifer

These are such good thoughts to ponder, Mary. It’s so easy to feel like the winter is just too harsh for any life to survive, and yet God does make a way for life to keep growing in Him! I love to watch those little creatures outside my window, and the energy that they still show during these cold and icy days. Blessings to you!
Bettie, thanks for your supportive comments. I appreciate you.

Good thoughts, Mary. I used to really dislike winter for the cold, the barren landscape, and the lack of color and growing things. But in the last few years I have looked forward to it as a time of rest. January is usually my least busy month, a welcome change after the busyness of the holidays. Then as things start to pick up again, I’m refreshed for what’s to come.
