Tonight, I sat and watched my daughter eat sushi. I tried for years to encourage her to try it. Just last weekend she decided to try it and found out she loved it.
I remember telling her, “Told you so.”
Of course, that first night she became ill, but I think it may have been a quick flu bug.
Nonetheless, she ordered it again tonight, excited to eat more.
Later, we went to see movie, Before I Fall.
And tonight when I returned home and checked Kate’s site: the prompt this week is purpose.
My love for my husband, daughter, and family is my purpose.
The day’s events spin in my mind.
Watching my daughter cry over a test because she could not understand the math concepts.
The laughter of grands playing in the backyard.
My husband’s laughter and joy spreading over his face.
Yes, this is a day I would gladly repeat, except for the melt down over math.
I learned a lot. I need to be more attentive and loving.
I need to grow as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Purpose and love intertwine in a circle of repetition. These are the facets of life that make it worth living and even if called upon dieing.
Some thoughts to ponder:
What lessons would you learn from repeating a single day in your life over and over again? Which day would you choose. What do you feel is the purpose of your life?

Now onto your question. I wish I could say that I could pick a day to relive my purpose, but each day is changing and each opportunity has been so special in its own way. badoink
Ah, yes! Meltdowns over math. Unfortunately for this homeschool mom this daily occurrence does repeat over and over in my house! haha! I love what you wrote here and I love your questions at the end. Very thought provoking. Glad we are neighbors this week!
I know. I wish I was better at math and could help her more. I love having her home with me although at times I wonder, “Am I making a mistake here?”
THIS:”purpose and love intertwine in a circle of repetition. These are the facets of life that make it worth living and even if called upon dieing.” I’m in the 5 spot this week.
Tara thanks so much for stopping by. I enjoyed writing this post.

I loved these words: “Purpose and love intertwine in a circle of repetition. ” Even when the circle of repetition might feel wearying to me, it is in that very place where Jesus is loving His purpose into being in me. Thank you for this beautiful encouragement tonight! –Blessings!
I love your question of what we would learn if we had to repeat a certain day again – that is a great way to view the lessons that we are going through and pay attention to the overarching purpose of the day and our lives… thank you for that insight!
I have to say that as much as I once was a shush lover, I had a terrible food poisoning experience and now I am done. But ooooh how I loved it!
Now onto your question. I wish I could say that I could pick a day to relive my purpose, but each day is changing and each opportunity has been so special in its own way. I don’t want to pick just one. I surely enjoyed your post.
“My love for my husband, daughter, and family is my purpose.”
I just love what you wrote here. It is beautiful, and your purpose is awesome!
Thank you for visiting me at FMF. I am so glad you did. God bless you!
Amen to these words: “Purpose and love intertwine in a circle of repetition”, because God gives my life purpose and graces it all with His endless, unconditional love to share with others. Then we learn to live like Jesus did while here on earth, seeing a surrendered life as a purposeful and beautiful thing. Blessed to be your #FMF neighbour this week, Mary. Thank you for this sweet post! 🙂
Wow, Mary! Great post. My purpose: 1st and foremost – Love Yahweh with everything that is in me, 2nd – Love my husband, then family, then others, 3rdly, but leastly, share the Gospel with everyone who will listen and serve. I think I do my purpose well. However, there’s always room for improvement.
On a side note: I’m glad your daughter ate sushi and loves it. I’m a huge fan of sushi/sashimi.
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. =-D
